diagonal (d)= 15 feet
as per Pythagorean theorem,
+diagonal%5E2++=+length%5E2%2Bwidth%5E2
+15%5E2+=+12%5E2%2Bwidth%5E2
225=+144%2Bwidth%5E2
move 144 to the left
225-144+=+width%5E2
+81=width%5E2
apply square root on both sides
+sqrt%2881%29=+sqrt%28width%5E2%29
9 =width
so width = 9 feet
Result : WIde =9 feet
