You can put this solution on YOUR website! Goran's gas tank is 1/4 full. After he buys 10 gallons of gas, it is 2/3 full. How many gallons can Goran's tank hold?
let x = number gallons tank can hold
1/4 * x + 10 = 2/3 * x
10 = 2/3 * x - 1/4 * x
10 = 8/12 * x - 3/12 * x (common denominator 3*4=12)
10 = 5/12 * x
120 = 5 * x (multiplied both sides by 12)
24 = x
tank can hold 24 gallons
