Question 926372: if it cost $64 to rent a truck on a day when its driven 48 miles what is the daily fee?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
64 - 48m = d
where m is the mileage and d is the daily fee.
For example, if it costs .50 per mile, then the daily fee is:
64 - (48*.50) = d
64 - 24 = 40
If it costs $1 per mile, then:
64 - (48*1) = d
64 - 48 = 16
