You can put this solution on YOUR website! I assume you are talking about lines, standard form of a line is
y = mx +b, where m is the slope and b is the y intercept
if m is the same for 2 lines, then they are parallel
if m for one line is the negative reciprocal of the other, then they are perpendicular to each other
