Question 924423: I am supposed to find the exact values of the following:
sin^-1 (sin(-7pi/10))
cos(csc^-1 (3/5) + tan^-1 (-1/2))

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
find the exact values of the following:
sin^-1 (sin(-7pi/10))
Since sin and sin^-1 are inverse functions,
your answer is (-7pi/10)
-------------------------------------
cos(csc^-1 (3/5) + tan^-1 (-1/2))
= cos(csc-1(3/5))cos(tan-1(-1/2) - sin(csc^-1(3/5))sin(tan^-1(-1/2))
----
= sqrt(25-9)/5 * 2/sqrt(1+4) - (3/5)*(1/sqrt(4+1))
----
= (4/5)*2/sqrt(5) - (3/5)*(1/sqrt(5))
----
= (8 - 3)/(5sqrt(5))
===
= 1/sqrt(5)
OR
= (1/5)sqrt(5)
