Lets solve by substitution

3%282%2F3%29+%2B+6y+=+0 plug in x=2%2F3

2+%2B+6y+=+0 multiply

+6y+=+-2 Subtract -2 from both sides

+y+=+-2%2F6 Divide both sides by 6

+y+=+-1%2F3 Reduce


So the solution is x=2%2F3 , y=-1%2F3
