Question 922977: I need help solving the following
If f(x)=5x+2 and g(x)=x+1
Solve
G(-5)
F(1\5)+g(0)
4g(-3)
I tried to work by

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Part 1) Plug in x = -5 and simplify.

g%28x%29=x%2B1

g%28-5%29=-5%2B1

g%28-5%29=-4
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Part 2) Plug in x = 1/5 into f(x). Plug x = 0 into g(x). Simplify and add

f%28x%29=5x%2B2

f%281%2F5%29=5%281%2F5%29%2B2

f%281%2F5%29=3

-----------------

g%28x%29=x%2B1

g%280%29=0%2B1

g%280%29=1

---------------

f%281%2F5%29%2Bg%280%29+=+3+%2B+1

f%281%2F5%29%2Bg%280%29+=+4
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Part 3) Plug in x = -3. Simplify. Then multiply both sides by 4.

g%28x%29=x%2B1

g%28-3%29=-3%2B1

g%28-3%29=-2

4%2Ag%28-3%29=4%2A%28-2%29

4%2Ag%28-3%29=-8

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Let me know if that helps or not. Thanks.
