+5x+%2B+4%2A3x+=+340+
5x+%2B+12x+=+340+
17x+=+340

Divide both sides by 17:
x+=+340%2F17+=+20

Check: x%2F4+%2B+3x%2F5+=+17
20%2F4+%2B+60%2F5+=+17
5+%2B+12+=+17
