Question 920484: A 3-card hand is drawn from a standard deck of 52 playing cards. Find the probability that the hand contains no hearts.
I thought I would do
52-13= the total number of cards I could choose from then do 1/that number?
I know that is wrong though. Should I do a combination or permutation or something else?
Thank you..

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
three cards are drawn without replacement,
there are 52 - 13 = 39 cards that are not hearts
the probability(Pr) that all three cards are not hearts is
Pr = 39/52 * 38/51 * 37 /50 = 0.413529412 approx 0.41
note that the probability of drawing a card that is not a heart on the first draw is 39/52
