Question 920479: Is this correct?
The point P is on the unit circle. Find the coordinates of P if the x-coordinate of P is negative and the y-coordinate is −15/5
my work:
x^2 + (-√15/2)^2 = 1
x^2 + 15/25 = 1
x^2 = 1-15/25
x^2 = 10/25
x^2 = 2/5
x^2 = √(2/5)
And then it would be: (√(2/5), -√(15)/5)
Is this right?
Thank you
You can put this solution on YOUR website! The point P is on the unit circle. Find the coordinates of P if the x-coordinate of P is negative and the y-coordinate is −15/5
no solution: The y-coordinate which represents the sin function must be [-1, 1]
