You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The ratio of an angle to its supplement is 5:4. What does the angle equal?
-------
Angle:: x
Supplement:: 180-x
-----
Equation::
x/(180-x) = 5/4
4x = 900 - 5x
9x = 900
x = 100
------
180-x = 80

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

let x = the angle and its supplement is %28180-x%29
x+%2F+%28180-x%29+=+5%2F4.......cross multiply
4x+=+5%28180-x%29
4x+=+900-5x
4x%2B5x+=+900
9x+=900
x+=900%2F9
x+=100
and its supplement is %28180-x%29=180-100=80
check ratio
100%2F80=5%2F4
10%2F8=5%2F4
cross%2810%295%2Fcross%288%294=5%2F4
5%2F4=5%2F4
