You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The area of one face of a cube is 25cm².
-------------
Area of a face is (side)^2
So, (side)^2=25cm^2
side = 5 cm
------------
Find
(a) the volume of the cube = (side)^3 = 5^3 = 125 cm^3
---------------------
(b) the total length of all the edges of the cube
There are 12 edges:
12*5 = 60 cm

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
To find the volume of the cube, you must first find the length of a side.
1.) To find length of a side, you must take the given area, 25cm%5E2, and solve for the side:
Area of square face is A=s%5E2
so, 25cm%5E2=s%5E2
take the square root of both sides, sqrt%2825%29=sqrt%28s%5E2%29
therefore,the side length is s=5cm
2.) Next, solve for volume of the cube:
V=s%5E3
substitute 5cm for "s";
V=5%5E3, or V=5%2A5%2A5
V=125cm%5E3
To find the total length of all edges of the cube:
1.) A cube has 12 edges, so if each edge length is 5cm, then we can write as 5cm%2A12=length_total;
Therefore, 5cm%2A12=60cm
