You can put this solution on YOUR website!
consecutive even integers: x, (x+2)

x(x+2) = 8(x + (x+2)) - 40
x^2 + 2x = 8(2x+2) - 40
x^2 + 2x = 16x - 24
x^2 - 14x + 24 = 0
(x - 2)(x - 12) = 0

The integers could be 2 and 4 or 12 and 14.
