50%2Bsqrt%2850%29%2F5 Rewrite the square root as:sqrt%2825%2A2%29%2F5then take the square root of 25 (that's 5) outside the radical.
50+%2B+cross%285%29%2Asqrt%282%29%2Fcross%285%29 Cancel the 5's as indicated.
50%2Bsqrt%282%29 Simplified!
2) Solve for x:
sqrt%285x%2B5%29+-+15+=+0 Add 15 to both sides.
sqrt%285x%2B5%29+=+15 Square both sides.
5x%2B5+=+225 Subtract 5 from both sides.
5x+=+220 Finally, divide both sides by 5.
x+=+44
