Whenever given a value such as f(-2) simply plug this number in for the varible within the equation, in this case, for x
+f%28x%29=5x-1+ +f%28-2%29+
+f%28-2%29=5%28-2%29-1+
Multiply first
+f%28-2%29=-10-1+
add
+f%28-2%29+=+-11+
Now, what this means is that when x = -2, then y = -11 with this SPECIFIC equation.
