Question 914019: Suppose ln(x + 5) = 8
Express the equation above in the exponential form AB = C. Your answers for A, B, and C can include e and x as well as numbers. Do not approximate e.
The base for the logarithm is?
A =
B =
C =
X =
I understand I would set ln to both sides making it (x+5)= 8
then x = 3 but I don't understand what A, B or C would be? Please help

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Convert to exponential form to get x%2B5=e%5E8

So this means A+=+e, B+=+8 and C+=+x%2B5

Now solve for x x%2B5=e%5E8 ---> x=e%5E8-5
