Solve for x: I'm assuming that this is (6 times 2) over (1-x)
%286%2A2%29%2F%281-x%29+=+3 Multiply both sides by (1-x)
12+=+3%281-x%29 Simplify.
12+=+3-3x Subtract 3 from both sides.
9+=+-3x Divide both sides by -3
-3+=+x or x+=+-3
In case the problem was really:
6%5E2%2F%281-x%29+=+3, then:
36+=+3%281-x%29 Simplify.
36+=+3-3x Subtract 3 from both sides.
33+=+-3x Divide both sides by -3
-11+=+x or x+=+-11
