Question 913565: Maliko drives to work in heavy traffic at a speed of 40 mph and drives back in much lighter traffic at a speed of 60 mph. If the trip to work takes 18 minutes, how long does the trip home take?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
D = r*t

D = 40*(18/60)

D = 12

The distance from home to work is 12 miles

-------------------------------------------------------

D = r*t

12 = 60*t

12/60 = t

1/5 = t

t = 1/5

1/5 hours = (1/5)*60 = 12 minutes

It will take 12 minutes to go from work to home.
