FOIL method would be more of a chore than just using a lattice approach, since one of the factors has three terms. FOIL is generally applied to multiplying two binomials. You have a binomial multiplied by a TRINOMIAL.

FOIL is an acronym for FIRST, OUTER, INNER, LAST.

Really wanting FOIL, then try an association:

F: y%282y%5E3-4y%29=2y%5E3-4y%5E2
O: 5y
I: -3%282y%5E3-4y%29=-6y%5E3%2B12y
L: -3%2A5=-15

Putting the pieces into a sum,

which you should be able to simplify.
