You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Question:

a) If y=squarerootx +2 , fill in the following table for x = 0, 1, 2, 3, 4. Round to three decimal places where necessary.

b) Explain why no negative values are chosen as values to substitute in for x.

Answer:
Given, +y+=+sqrt%28x%29+%2B+2+

When x = 0 , +y+=+sqrt%28o%29+%2B+2+

==> +y+=+0+%2B+2+

==> +y+=++2+

When x = 1 , +y+=+sqrt%281%29+%2B+2+

==> +y+=+1+%2B+2+
==> +y+=+3+

When x = 2 , +y+=+sqrt%282%29+%2B+2+

==> +y+=+1.412+%2B+2+

==> +y+=+3.412+

When x = 3, +y+=+sqrt%283%29+%2B+2+

==> +y+=+1.732+%2B+2+

==> +y+=+3.732+

When x = 4, +y+=+sqrt%284%29+%2B+2+

==> +y+=+2+%2B+2+
==> +y+=+4+

That is.
x | y
0 | 2
1 | 3
2 | 3.412
3 | 3.732
4 | 4

b)Explain why no negative values are chosen as values to substitute in for x.

Since square root of a negative number does not exist, we should not chose negative values for x.
