Question 911617: I need to know the vertex, axis of symmetry, roots, domain, range for the following problem
Y=-(x-3)(x+1)
i also need to know if it opens up or down and if you can graph it that would be greatly appreciated.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! (Corrected):
You can try doing some of the work like this:
roots: 3 and -1, so .
Axis of symmetry is x=1, and ...
... y-coordinate for vertex: .
Vertex is (1,4).
The parabola has vertex (1,4) and opens downward, and has x-intercepts -1, and 3.
That is not all of the work for your question; but is most of it.
