You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Sheryl got these scores on her spelling tests: 95,89,99,85,82.
Step 1.)
Find the mean of the data.
Add up +95+%2B+89+%2B+99+%2B+85+%2B+82
You should get 450
Divide 450 by 5 since there are 5 tests.
You should get 90.
So the 1st mean is 9o. Don’t forget this!

Step 2.) Find out how far away each piece of data is from the 1st mean (which was 90, remember?)
Original Test Score || Distance away from 90
95,--------------------------5
89,--------------------------1
99,--------------------------9
85,--------------------------5
82--------------------------8
Add up 5%2B1%2B9%2B5%2B8=28
divide by 5 since there are 5 numbers => 28%2F5=5.6
So the Mean Absolute Deviation of Sheryl’s test scores is 5.6.
This means that the average distance each of Sheryl’s test scores is away from the original mean of 90 is 5.6 percentage points.
