Question 910633: I need to know the vertex, axis of symmetry, roots, domain, and the range of the following problem

I also need to know if it opens up or down and a graph would be greatly appreciated

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
y=-x%5E2%2B9 ....parabola opens down since variable x%5E2 has negative sign

+graph%28+600%2C+600%2C+-10%2C+10%2C+-10%2C+10%2C+-x%5E2%2B9%29+

so, the vertex is at (+0+,9)
axis of symmetry: vertical line at x=0, which is y-axis
roots: x=-3 or x=3
domain: {all x element R } (all real numbers)

range: { y element R : y%3C=9 }
