Michael’s and Nishila’s age add up to 25 years. 8 years ago Michael was twice as old as Nisjila. How old are they now ?
---------------
Equations:
m + n = 25
m-8 = 2(n-8)
------
m + n = 25
m -2n = -8
------------
Subtract and solve for "n":
3n = 33
n = 11 (Nishila's age now)
-------------
Solve for "m":
m+n = 25
m = 14 (Michael's age now)
---------------

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x Nishila’s age, then (25-x) is Michael’s age
25-x - 8 = 2(x-8)
17 = 3x - 16
33 = 3x
11 = x, Nishila’s age. Michael’s age is 14 25-11
Checking...8 years ago
6 = 2•3
