You can put this solution on YOUR website! Apparently, you don't understand how to use parentheses.
They are used to group things
You want to group 2+4i so you put the expression 3/ (2+4i).
This shows that all of (2+4i) is the denominator and not just the 2.
3/2+4i says that just the 2 is the denominator.
BTW
One parenthesIs. Either "the opening or closing parenthesis" means just one of them.
Two parenthesEs. "The opening and closing parentheses" means both of them.
3/(2+4i)
3*(2-4i)
6-12i
