The given equations are:
Taking LCM, this can be written as:
Now cross multiplying and writing x and y terms on one side, we get:
56 + 4x = 7y ----------(1)
45 - 5x = - 3y ---------(2)
Now lets solve both the equations simultaneously, Multiply eqn (1) by 3 and (2) by 7.
We get:
168 + 12x = 21y
315 - 35x = - 21y
on solving them we get -23x = -483
==> x = 21
substituting the value of x we get the value of y
==> y = 20
thus the solution
