8y^3 + 40y^2 - 16y

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
+8y%5E3+%2B+40y%5E2+-+16y+
Factor out +8y+ from each term
+8y%2A%28+y%5E2+%2B+5y+-+2+%29+
-----------------------
I have 2 factors now, but I can
make it into 3 factors by solving
the quadratic
I'm not sure if that's needed,
but anyway:
+y%5E2+%2B+5y+=+2+
+y%5E2+%2B+5y+%2B+%285%2F2%29%5E2+=+2+%2B+%285%2F2%29%5E2+
+y%5E2+%2B+5y+%2B+25%2F4+=+8%2F4+%2B+25%2F4+
+%28+y+%2B+5%2F2+%29%5E2+=+33%2F4+
You can finish if you need to.
I'm guessing that it's not required here
