Multiply each side by 11%2F3, in order to isolate S as a whole.
.4R = S
R + S = 220
Now substitute the known value of S from the equation above into the bottom equation.
R + S = 220
R + (.4R) = 220
1.4R = 220
Divide each side by 1.4
R = 157.14 Rs
Therefore, S = 62.86 Rs
That came out strange numbers, but they add to 220 and fulfill the requirements above.
