A street vendor has a total of 350 short and long sleeve t-shirts. He sells the short sleeve shirts for $10 each
and the long sleeve shirts for $14. How many of each type of shirt did he sell if he sold his entire stock for
$4300? Please provide variables, system of equations and solve

You can put this solution on YOUR website! If all 350 shirts sold were long sleeve, the revenue would be $4900
The actual revenue is $4300, a difference of $600
The difference between the long and short-sleeved ts is $4.
600/4 = 150
150 short sleeve shirts were sold for a gross of $1500
200 long-sleeved shirts were sold for a gross of $2800 (we know that 4300-1500 is the money from the long sleeved shirts. Divide that by $14 to find the number sold).
$1500 + $2800 = $4300
