You can put this solution on YOUR website!

Find an equation for the line with y-intercept 3 that is perpendicular to the line y=2/3x-4.

The required eq'n is y = mx+c
y intercept = c = 3
product of slopes = -1
m.M = -1
m = -1/M = -1/2/3 = -3/2
The eq'n becomes y = -3x/2+3
2y = -3x+6 (multiply by 2 throughout)
3x+2y = 6
