g(x) = sqrt(5x+4)

5x+4 must be >= 0

solve for x to get x >= -4/5

that's your domain.

if x >= -4/5, then your range will be greater than or equal to 0.

here's a graph of your function.
you can see that the value of x is only valid on or to the right of x = -4/5 which is the same as x = -.8
the value of y can be 0 or greater but can't be negative.
