Your difficulty is part of why arithmetic is useful for computing with numerals written in digits.

You want to cut 3%2F5 of a pie into 5 equal pieces. This could still be done using a drawing. You want 3%2F5 DIVIDED BY 5.

This is the same as %283%2F5%29%2F5;
which is
%283%2F5%29%281%2F5%29
3%2F%285%2A5%29
highlight%283%2F25%29.

If you want to try using a drawing or picture, use a rectangle or a square; instead of a circular pie-shaped drawing. Forming a grid to represent the number will be much easier for this kind of situation.
