Question 906744: I need help trying to solve this problem. Thank you in advance, for helping me out. I really appreciate your time and efforts. Have a terrific day :) Here is the question?
Supplementary Angles. Two angles are supplementary. The measure of one angle is 20° less than 19 times the measure of the other. Find the measure of each angle.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x+y=180, because given as supplementary

x=-20+19y, translating the description

Substitute for x and solve first for y.
(What I mean is, the two formed equations are enough information and you can substitute for x. That is the basic process; NOT the finished answer.)

You are supposed to do this...
x%2By=180
%28-20%2B19y%29%2By=180
-20%2B19y%2By=180
20y-20=180
20y=200
highlight%28y=10%29
and then you should know what else to do to find the value for x.
