You can put this solution on YOUR website! two planes leave an airport the same time and travel in opposite directions. one plane averages 300 miles per hr, and the other plane averages 600 miles per hr. When will they be 2700 miles apart?
***
speed at which planes are flying apart from each other=300+600=900 mph
travel time=distance/speed=2700/900=3
When will they be 2700 miles apart? 3 hrs
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Don't cry guy. Wait till you get to the hard stuff. You'll be pulling out hair.
d=r*t+R*t
t will be the same for both.
2700=300*t+600*t
2700=900*t
t=3 hours
d=R*t
d=600*3
d=1800 miles at 600 kph
d=r*t
d=300*3
d=900 miles at 300 kph
