Let's designate the away team as AT
The home team will be 3AT - 68
Both will add up to 80 as that was the number of people who attended the baseball game.
AT + ( 3AT -68) = 80
AT + 3 AT - 68 = 80
4 AT - 68 = 80
4 AT = 80 + 68
4 AT = 148
AT = 37
HT = 3 AT - 68
= 3( 37) - 68
= 111 - 68
= 43
So, the away team had 37 fans and the home team had 43 fans
