Solve for A
Cross multiply
B(A+2) = A - 3
BA + 2B = A - 3
BA - A = -2B - 3
Factor out A
A(B-1) = -2B - 3
Divide both sides by (B-1)
A = %28%28-2B-3%29%29%2F%28%28B-1%29%29
and assume it's: (brackets would help a whole lot here)
1%2F3- %28x-1%29%2F5 = x%2F3
Solve for x
Get rid of the denominators, multiply equation by 15, cancel and you have
5 - 3(x-1) = 5x
5 - 3x + 3 = 5x
5 + 3 = 5x + 3x
8 = 8x
x = 8/8
x = 1
