They have found that their montly profit in dollars, P, from selling x copies of the program is approximated by P(x)= -0.6x^2+2160x-10800 Find the number of copies of the program that should be sold in order to maximize the profits?

the maximum value for P lies on the axis of symmetry of the function ... the equation is x=-b/2a

in this case, x=-2160/(2(-0.6)) ... x=1800
