You can put this solution on YOUR website! Help with finding the reference angles of a unit circle
Can someone please show me how to find the reference angles for the following problems?
a) -7π/9 (rotate clockwise)
angle between 3π/2 and π, so ref angle in quadrant III
ref angle=π-7π/9=9π/9-7π/9=2π/9
..
b) -25π/18 (rotate clockwise)
angle between π and π/2, so ref angle in quadrant II
ref angle=25π/18-π=25π/18-18π/18=7π/18
..
c)-29π/18 (rotate clockwise)
angle between π and π/2, so ref angle in quadrant II
ref angle=29π/18-π=29π/18-18π/18=11π/18
Note:
First step is to determine which quadrant the terminal angle is in.
Reference angle is the angle between the terminal angle and x-axis
