Question 903296: Can you help me with this math question, please?
- Write the equation so that y is a function of x.
14=7y-6x
So far, I've subtracted 6x from both sides so the equation looks like this: -6x + 14=7y
But when I try to divide -6x by 7, I get a weird decimal.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
That's why it's best to leave it as a fraction

14=7y-6x+

+6x+%2B+14=7y Add 6x to both sides.

7y+=+6x+%2B+14

y+=+%286x+%2B+14%29%2F7 Divide both sides by 7.

y+=+%286x%29%2F7+%2B+14%2F7

y+=+%286x%29%2F7+%2B+2

y+=+expr%286%2F7%29x+%2B+2
