Question 902168: Find the domain and range of the function
Let f be the function defined by
f(x) = x^2, −2 ≤ x ≤ 3

As I understand it y=x^2 would open up as a parabola, not sure how wide or narrow though. What is getting me is the −2 ≤ x ≤ 3 is this some sort of restraints as to where the x^2 can be? I really need someone to explain what this means. Would the graph still be a upwards parabola?
The questions are to
Find the domain?
Find the range?

Thank You in advance!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
f(x) = x^2, -2 =< x =< 3
domain is possible values for x, range is corresponding values for f(x)
therefore,
domain is [-2, 3] and range is [0, 9]
the graph looks like
