2L = 24
L = 12

N = L+6
N+L < 30
Substitute the known value of N from the first equation into the second.
N+L < 30
(L+6) + L < 30
2L + 6 < 30
Subtract 6 from each side
2L < 24
Divide each side by 2
L < 12
Is Luke is less than 12, then Nancy is less than 18 (Luke+6)
Solution:
L < 12
N < 18
