You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Find three consecutive odd integers
x, (x+2), (x+4)
such that the sum of the first and three times the second minus two times the third is twenty.
x + 3(x+2) - 2(x+4) = 20
x + 3x + 6 - 2x - 8 = 20
combine like terms
x + 3x - 2x + 6 - 8 = 20
2x - 2 = 20
2x = 22
x = 11, 13, 15 are the numbers

See if this works in the statment
" the sum of the first and three times the second minus two times the third is twenty. "
11 + 3(13) - 2(15) = 20
11 + 39 - 30 = 20
