You can put this solution on YOUR website!
d = rt = tr
2(b+7) + 2b = 210
4b = 196
b = 49mph, Bill's speed. Mary went 56mph 49%2B7%29

Answer by JulietG(1812) About Me  (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website!
210 = 2(m+b)
M = B+7
Substitute the value of M from the bottom equation into the top
210= 2(m+b) which is the same as 105 = (m+b)
105= M+B
105 = (B+7) + B
105 = 2B + 7
Subtract 7 from each side
98 = 2B
Divide each side by 2
49 = B
If Bill is traveling at 49mph, then Mary is traveling at 56mph
In two hours, Bill travels 98 miles and Mary travels 112 miles
98+112 = 210
