Question 90033This question is from textbook algebra
: I need to factor completely, this equation
y^3-12y+36y
a)y(y-9)(y+4)
b.)y(y-6)^2
C.)y(y+6)^2
d.)y(y+12(y-3)
these are my options but this is what I have
(y)(y+36)
(y+2)(y-36)
(y+)(y+6)
(-y)(y-6)
I am not sure why I am getting this, can you tell me.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
I BELIEVE YOU LEFT OUT THE ^2 ON THE -12Y.
Y^3-12Y^2+36Y NOW FACTOR OUT THE Y THUS:
Y(Y^2-12Y+36)
Y(Y-6)(Y-6) OR Y(Y-6)^2 OR ANSWER B).
