You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The second side would be x
So the first side would be 2×x
And the third is 3×x-1
So the perimeter is 17= x + 2×x + 3×x-1
16= 6×x
16/6= 6×x/6
x= 8/3
2×x= 16/3
3×x-1=7

The perimeter of a triangle is 17cm. The first side is twice the length of the second side; the third side is 1cm less than 3 times the length of the side. What are the lengths of the side of the triangle?

Length of 2nd side: highlight_green%283%29 cm
Length of 1st side: 2(3), or highlight_green%286%29 cm
Length of 3rd side: 3(3) - 1, or highlight_green%288%29 cm
You can do the check!!
