e-x^2=1/10
Take the natural log of both sides to get:
-x^2 = [ln1 - ln10]
-x^2 = 0 - 2.303
x^2 =2.303
x = sqrt2.303 = 1.518 ie x = -sqrt2.303 = -1.518
