| Question 898384: -8-4squared/2cubed-2
In the first part -8-4 squared, (I do not know how to put the little 2 next to the 4.) The / is the dividing sign, so therefore it is actually written as a fraction in my book. the divisor, the second part, is 2 Cubed - 2. (Again, I do not know how to write the little 3 next to the 2.) This is what I tried.
 For the dividend: -8-4squared, I got: -8-16= -8+(-16)= -24
for the divisor: 2cubed-2, I got:8-2= 8+(-2)=6 therefore my new fraction is -24/6 which equals -4
 thank you for your help

You can put this solution on YOUR website! -8-4squared/2cubed-2 In the first part -8-4 squared, (I do not know how to put the little 2 next to the 4.) If it's:
, then that leads to , and to , and finally: If it's:
, then that leads to , and to , and finally: If it's:
, then that leads to , and to , and finally: I suspect it's the last one, since you stated that the DIVIDEND is
, and the divisor, . Thus, you are CORRECT! Good job!!
