You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Find the values of the trigonometric functions of θ from the information given.
sec θ = 7, sin θ < 0
---
Since sec is positive and sin is negative theta is in QIV.
----
By definition sec = r/x
Since sec = 7, r = 7 and x = 1
----
Then y = -sqrt(7^2-1^2] = -sqrt(48)= -4sqrt(3)
-----
Answers:
sin = y/r = -4(sqrt(3))/7
cos = x/r = 1/7
tan = y/x = -4sqrt(3)
----
csc, sec, and cot are each the inverse of the above values.
