You can put this solution on YOUR website!
|x+4|+1 = 2

|x+4| = 2-1

|x+4| = 1

x+4 = 1 or x+4 = -1

x = 1-4 or x = -1-4

x = -3 or x = -5

The two solutions are x = -3 or x = -5
