Question 897327: Hi,
Can someone show me how to set this up.
The bermuda triangle has a perimeter of 3075 mi. The shortest side measures 75 mi less than the middle side, and the longest side measures 375 mi more than the middle side. Find the lengths of all three sides.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Find the perimeter in terms of the sides : SS - short side, MS - middle side, LS - long side.
SS%2BMS%2BLS=3075
Now get all sides in terms of the middle side.
SS=MS-75
.
.
LS=MS%2B375
Substitute into the perimeter.
%28MS-75%29%2BMS%2B%28MS%2B375%29=3075
3MS%2B300=3075
3MS=2775
MS=925
Now go back and plug in this value to find SS and LS.
